As a donor: You must be at least 18 years old and in India. Indian medical guidelines (NACO) require donors to be adults. By registering and providing your date of birth, you confirm you meet this.
As a requestor: You must be at least 18 years old. You can post a request for yourself, a family member, or a patient in your care. The platform is for genuine medical needs only.
When a donor accepts your request, their name and phone number appear as a call button. This is how donations get coordinated on the platform.
Donors see a consent screen before accepting and agree to share their details for that specific request. Treat this information as private and use it only to arrange the donation. Using a donor's number for anything else is a prohibited action (see Section 6).
The following will result in immediate permanent account suspension and may be reported to law enforcement:
When you accept a request, the requestor is counting on you and may make plans based on your commitment. Not showing up without cancelling causes real harm.
If you can no longer donate, withdraw from the Notifications page as soon as you can. We understand emergencies happen. A single cancellation is not penalised. Repeated no-shows may lead to a temporary suspension.
The platform assigns a Primary slot (first to accept) and Backup slots. Primary donors are the ones the requestor is counting on. Please take this seriously.
BloodKonnect is a free service and we run it on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted access. We may take the platform down for maintenance at any time. In life-critical situations, always contact your hospital directly and do not rely solely on this platform.
BloodKonnect connects people. We are not part of the arrangement between a donor and a requestor. We are not responsible for:
Our total liability for any claim from using this platform is nil. The platform is free and we charge nothing.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Your data will be permanently deleted.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the platform in a way that harms others. For serious violations like fraud, fake blood groups, or impersonation, termination is immediate and permanent with no prior notice.
We may update these terms as the platform grows or as the law changes. For significant changes, we will show an in-app notice before the change takes effect. Using the platform after that date means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute from your use of BloodKonnect falls under the jurisdiction of courts in India. Please contact us first. Most issues can be sorted without going to court.
